Jason Caridi
Videographer, Filmmaker, Photographer, Musician
Caridiography Video, Forget Me Not Films ... Jason Caridi gone through nearly as many business names in adulthood as AIM screen names as a pre-teen. Creativity and change are my constant, motivating companions – thus, Caridi Creative.
As a teenager, Jason was almost never without his point-and-shoot camera, etching moments with friends into a record that serves as a source of delight, laughter, sorrow, and not a small amount of embarrassment. Who knew that videos of his friends goofing around behind suburban 7/11s would lead to evocative narratives of suburban ennui.
Cut to film school, during which he emptied his bank account for the new Canon EOS 5D Mark II – the exciting new DSLR camera that could “shoot films” with minimal equipment. Since then, organically armed with a variety of cameras, I've produced three slim-budget narrative features, several short films, music videos ranging from Detroit hip-hop to French black metal, over 150 small business promotional videos, and innumerable corporate videos.
Jason’s feature film credits include Shoot! (2011), The Pit (2016), and Pasta Mafia (2018), and his short films include "Shot" (2009), "A Montage of Nightmares" (2010), "Watching" (2013), and "Forest for the Trees" (2023).
An avid travel and landscape photographer, Jason can rarely be seen in an unfamiliar location without his camera. He also enjoys heavy metal festivals, going to the cinema, solo travel, long walks along the river, and maintaining a rigorously boring sleep schedule.
